The facility proudly serves the Central Texas communitiesof Killeen, Fort Cavazos, Harker Heights, and Nolanville. The facility iscommitted to providing excellent educational opportunities to ensure allstudents served are able to reach their maximum learning potential.
Students within facility attend 31 elementary schools, 12 middle schools, 6high schools including an Early College High School, and 4 special campusesincluding a state-of-the-art Career Center serving approximately 44,000+students. The facility is the 4th most diverse district in Texas and the 24thlargest district in Texas.
The facility employs a phenomenal team of approximately 6,800+ individualsdedicated to working together as a well-orchestrated team to ensure facilitiesare inviting; campuses are safe and orderly; curricula remains rigorous,innovative, and challenging; and extra-curricular activities provide avenuesfor students to become well-rounded individuals. These collective effortsresult in facility graduates who are equipped with the skills necessary to besuccessful young adults.
Since 2011, The facility has earned a Superior rating from the TexasEducation Agency for the school district’s careful and efficient use of thetaxpayers’ money. The facility has also earned a Transparency Star from theTexas Comptroller of Public Accounts. This program recognizes local governmentsacross Texas that are striving to meet a high standard for financialtransparency online.
